Independence Mall in Wilmington attracts exclusive, ‘progressive’ corporations

When Justin LaNasa decided to move Port Town Vapor from its spot on Cedar Avenue to Independence Shopping mall, he believed he would have his select of storefronts to pick out from.

To his shock, several of the mall’s empty storefronts had already been leased to other firms. LaNasa ended up moving into a area formerly occupied by the overall health and diet shop GNC.  

The place is in close proximity to Hardwire Tattoo, another small business he owns, and it can be the best established up, LaNasa said.

“The design is effective,” he reported. “People today who get tattoos like to vape.”

Hardwire Tattoo opened in the shopping mall 5 years ago. Hardwire Tattoo and Port Metropolis Vapor also have areas in downtown Wilmington.

Lately, various new enterprises have opened within the shopping mall, such as Port Metropolis Vapor, Lock and Load airsoft shooting array, Cellaxs mobile cell phone restore, Rondevu (a substantial-finish shoe and men’s apparel retail outlet), and women’s garments suppliers Rainbow and Gema’s Boutique.

Many others are established to open afterwards this summer, which includes a new T-Cellular shop, a nail salon and a smoothie, ice cream and bubble tea store. In addition, restaurants are scheduled for the front of the mall’s Oleander Travel entrance to accompany eateries such as Jersey Mike’s Subs and Initially Check out.
