I was so psyched about doing this podcast interview. Jillana and I have so quite a few overlapping connections and passions: she lived in Guatemala (the place our little boy is from!), she’s a foster mother, she’s adopted from foster treatment, she has youngsters, she has an ongoing romantic relationship with a birth mom, and she has a child with unique requires.
We could have talked for several hours, but I confined myself to just all around 30 minutes for this episode — and it’s packed with goodness! We dive deep into what it seems like to dad or mum a baby with exclusive needs, the issues and blessings of walking in proximity to start mom and dad of small children we’ve fostered and/or adopted, and how residing a adore-stretched everyday living has turned their globe upside down in the most wonderful of methods.
No matter if you are a foster dad or mum or an adoptive guardian or a mother or father of a baby with unique needs or no matter whether your daily life appears to be like completely different, I assume you are going to obtain your heart resonating with her passion to love all those who need love the most and to stroll alongside them without having criticism or condemnation but as a substitute with compassion.
